A brand new festival in the pipeline, 2 nights, 3 days, 35 hours of live music, 2:30 hrs outside Mumbai. OJ The Open Sky Festival of music and contemporary art is slated for November 19th to 21st 2010. This will be your very own 'travel to' festival nestled in a beautiful patch of virgin land 2 and a half hours outside Mumbai. The site is called 18ºNorth, which is a complete adventure zone being set up opposite the Aamby Valley. It is a 500 acre plot of natural forest outfitted with some real fun activities. So when you come to the festival, come expecting more than just music. Allow us to paint a picture for you. Its a relaxing drive once you leave the Mumbai traffic behind. After you get off the express way, its an even better drive up winding roads to the festival site. At the festival, we have two music stages, and a night plot. We have plans to put in a theatre and film stage as well, provided we have talent willing to participate. The music has no genre. Just that it will all be original music. Around 20 Indian bands or varying sounds and 8 international bands will play here. We will feature for you over 35 hours of live music. you got rock, pop, classical, fusion, jazz and blues as well. We hope to attract a collection of creative minds who want to exhibit their talent and inspirations, so if you have art, we have a gallery for you, if you have installations we have a spot for you, if you have stuff you wanna sell, we have stalls for you. If you have a concern or cause, we have a spotlight for you. Come use this platform - to be seen or to see....choice is yours. and at the cost of being a bit preachy, we also want to fall in love with our environment again, its nice out there, kind of makes us think about what we mess up everyday, so ya, nature trails, forests excursions..... :) And for you adrenaline junkies, Extreme Zorbing, All Terrain Vehicles, Paintball - speed ball and situational, boot camp, rock climbing, rally driving.... you get the picture right?
